Arey bhai, when did she say that they belong just to Kumaon? In fact, she starts with Uttarakhand and mentions about Garwal’s culinary tradition.
And she has done it right by calling them Kumaoni, because what she has described is how Kumaoni people make them. In Garhwal, there are some variations.
May be, the cuisine of Garhwal is better than that of Kumaon. But what is called as Kumaoni does not mean it is not Garhwali. She has not said, these originated in Kumaon and carried to Garhwal. She has not said, these are exclusive to Kumanon. A traveller’s food blog does justice when it tells the readers, what local cuisine to expect when they visit that area.

Please get your facts straight.. these dishes are not just kumaoni delicacies.. they belong to Garhwal as well.. don’t just label them as kumaoni.. these are pahadi dishes ok.. from now on please do a thorough research…
