I am a Shivalli Brahmin married to a Havyaka Brahmin. Historians say that both our communities came to Karnataka from Ahichhatra during Mayura Verma’s reign.

Though I read the Lalita Sahasranama and though I knew about Draupadi being an incarnation of Parvati,I never knew her as Ichhashakti. One of Maa’s names is Ichhashakti-Nyaanshakti-Kriyashaktyai … I now understand the Mahabharata even better.
