Compared to other temple cities, Puri is comparatively uncongested and clean.

The visitor/devotee facilities at the Jagannath Temple are excellent, comparable to Tirupati.

One can go about one’s work in peace. No one accosts you forcing their products or services on you.

The local people are also quite friendly and helpful unlike in some other temple cities where they feel outsiders are out there to exploit them.
