BADRUKHAN – there was a young Pandit in this land – Pandit Badru … He was said to be 7 feet tall, long beard and long hair… Very devout and an expert in warfare… He collected entire population of this area and villages against mughal tyranny. He went to Jind and met with Raja Gajpat Singh. He impressed Raja Gajpat with this skill and wisdom and convinced him to move his entire Capital from jind to his village. The village was named after Pandit Badru – Badrukhan. He was my great great grandfather.
