The hill is also known as pradyumna hill and it used to have atleast a dozen temples in the parikrama pathway including kalu temple in fort uphill , Ganesh temple , and others . With dwindling hindu population same have gone into neglect. Sharika mata is the presiding deity of Srinagar city named after her srichakra , temple definitely has a deep spiritual vibe hard to miss . The lofty hillside now encroached by illegal housing is known as Devi Angan .
