Very intriguing sculpture indeed, I have never seen anything like this in any of the numerous places in India. Many species of life forming one human form, very unique. Looking at the thumbnail, before reading the post I thought this is some Mayan sculpture but so surprised to know that it is in Chattisgarh. Thank you for sharing this with us.

Very Interesting Anu.. Honestly I've not been able to read all your posts so far but whatever few I have, I have found very educative. You've come closest to answering my curiosity about Indian Sculpture and History.

I cannot but ignore the way the genitals of Rudra Shiva are depicted in this sculpture.
