I was sure of good hospitality. But my eyes were looking at the design and d\u00e9cor of the property. I could admire them for hours. On the floor, 3 metal musicians sat around a bowl filled with water and flowers. Lanterns, which I knew by now would be used for lighting in the evening were resting aesthetically on a tree.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_8269\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-8269\" style=\"width: 630px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-8269 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/inditales.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/kanha-earth-lodge-welcome-area-metal-craft.jpg\" alt=\"Reception Art\" width=\"630\" height=\"473\" srcset=\"https:\/\/inditales.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/kanha-earth-lodge-welcome-area-metal-craft.jpg 630w, https:\/\/inditales.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/kanha-earth-lodge-welcome-area-metal-craft-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/inditales.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/kanha-earth-lodge-welcome-area-metal-craft-610x458.jpg 610w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 630px) 100vw, 630px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-8269\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Reception Art<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">We moved in to be welcomed inside a lobby come bar area where a sit-out in bright orange provided brightness to the otherwise earthy d\u00e9cor. The dividing wall had an opening with a huge metalwork piece \u2013 almost like a stand to put oil lamps in a temple. I a similar artwork in small pieces I would find in my room later. Even the garden furniture is done in metal \u2013 and appears straight out of the hands of a tribal artist.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_8265\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-8265\" style=\"width: 473px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-8265 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/inditales.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/kanha-earth-lodge-masks.jpg\" alt=\"Masks on walls\" width=\"473\" height=\"630\" srcset=\"https:\/\/inditales.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/kanha-earth-lodge-masks.jpg 473w, https:\/\/inditales.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/kanha-earth-lodge-masks-225x300.jpg 225w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 473px) 100vw, 473px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-8265\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Masks on walls<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Walls are again adorned with wooden masks. A bright sit-out that looked at the wilderness from the comfort of the room. And a huge sit-out was just outside the room where one can feel the wilderness with just a roof above. The lighting in the room is a bit subdued. So if you want to read, you would need an extra lamp. Having said that given the hectic schedule with 2 safaris a day and a village or a birding walk thrown in, there is hardly any time or energy left for reading.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_8263\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-8263\" style=\"width: 488px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-8263 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/inditales.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/kanha-earth-lodge-lanterns-on-tree.jpg\" alt=\"Lanterns on Trees\" width=\"488\" height=\"630\" srcset=\"https:\/\/inditales.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/kanha-earth-lodge-lanterns-on-tree.jpg 488w, https:\/\/inditales.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/kanha-earth-lodge-lanterns-on-tree-232x300.jpg 232w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 488px) 100vw, 488px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-8263\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Lanterns on Trees<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Wi-Fi_facility\"><\/span>Wi-Fi facility<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">There is Wi-Fi available in the common area. So you are not really disconnected from the world. Phones work depending on the network you use. Otherwise, the landline of the lodge can be used for communicating. There is a library full of books on wildlife, nature, birds, etc. You can use some of these books for reference when you come back from Safari.<\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Naturalist\"><\/span>Naturalist<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Apart from the excellent properties that give you a luxury experience in forests, what you would admire about Pugdundee Safaris is their team of naturalist who knows the jungle like the back of their hand. They help you spot animals and birds, they show you the flora and they tell you amusing stories of the jungle. They take care of you on the safaris including serving you the much-needed refreshments. And let me tell you this is a much-appreciated service \u2013 to have food while you know you could be food, for the inhabitants out there.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">I highly recommend Kanha Earth Lodge for your Kanha National Park experience.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Kanha Earth Lodge is a signature jungle lodge by Pugdundee Safaris.
