  1. Cairns, Australia – One of the Greatest Fishing Destinations

Off-coast eastern Australia, famous for its Great Barrier Reef, is its top marlin fishing site. With their sprints, these 750kg+ giants terrorize fishers along the coast between Cairns and Lizard Island.

Big fish are discovered here. Anglers return time and time in the hopes of capturing a once-in-a-lifetime catch. This is one of the greatest fishing sites appropriate in the winter weather, i.e., from September to December, for those who dare to take on the challenge.

The sun will be blazing, the water warm, and you with good company. More marlins are captured in this 250-kilometer stretch than anywhere else on the planet altogether!

2. Prince Edward Island, Canada

Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia, Canada, is another destination noted for large game fishing and world records. This is where the world’s largest bluefin tuna was caught about 40 years ago, weighing 1496 lbs; it’s almost as though you’re seeing a massive cow!

This is a catch-and-release fishery by law. However, boats are permitted to retain one or two fish every season at the moment. The close vicinity of the fishing to the coast is what makes this spot special. Half-day expeditions are significantly more feasible because fantastic places are usually less than a mile off the shore.

3. Montauk, New York

The Big Apple may be known as the city that never sleeps, but it is also where you could succeed in capturing a wide range of light tackle species.

Although the fishing season is brief, it is available for business, especially in September and October, when it is open. The season may continue into November and even December on rare occasions. But early fall is the safest bet for the finest activity.

Striped bass is attracted to the long tidal strips near the beach by the bay anchovy, making for a beautiful scene as well as a great fishing opportunity. Keep an eye out for bluefish, fluke, little tunny, and even weakfish in these areas.

4. Cancun, Mexico

Cancun offers some of the finest chances to catch massive sailfish. The best time to catch sailfish is from March to May.

Cancun is famous for its black-fin tuna, discovered along the deep and hidden banks and reefs. You may also try having a chance at casting your lines on the flats near Isla Blanca in the hopes of catching some young tarpon, sea trout, or bonefish.

5. Malindi, Kenya

Kenya is commonly thought of as a country famed for its towering people and arid, desert-like scenery. Moving to the seas of Malindi, Kenya’s central coast, where billfish royal slams are a distinct availability.

To complete the adventure, you will need to catch species like black marlin, blue marlin, swordfish, striped marlin, and sailfish.

6. Key West, Florida

One of the reasons I enjoy this location so much is that it provides a wide range of fish to catch. Both beach and deep-sea fishing are popular in Key West.

When you’re out on the broad waters of Key West, you can catch yellowfin tuna and even blue marlin year-round.

7. Belize

Belize’s fishing holes are described as an island paradise with fishing opportunities seen nowhere else on the planet.

If you’re looking for a trophy tarpon, come here in the middle of the summer or late in the fall. But remember that year-round fishing is possible in Belize.

8. Bermuda

It has to be one of the best places to catch a huge blue marlin. Bermuda has won the one-day, worldwide World Cup Blue Marlin Championship the most times of any country. White marlin, yellowfin tuna, and wahoo are some of the other fishes that are also available.

The months of June through August are the best for catching large fish. You can have an experienced fleet and the opportunity to spend time in a very exotic nation that is also quite safe, civilized, and clean.

9. Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

After just a few kilometers of walking, you will be able to cast your lines in the fresh water and try your luck at catching marlin, sailfish, dorado, and wahoo.

Cabo San Lucas is an all-year-round fishing place. While the warmest months are the ideal time to visit from May to July when the seas are at their most diverse and abundant.

10. Great Abaco, Bahamas

Great Abaco is located on the island’s northern point and is one of the greatest places to visit if you want to see species diversity.

If you want to try your hand at catching a white marlin, visit the island country between April and May. Following that, the blue marlin’s peak time runs in early July. This is also a fantastic time to go tuna fishing for blackfin or yellowfin tuna. They travel through these waters every year.
